All year round at the Priory!!

Hirst Priory or The Lincolnshire to give it its proper title is an 18 hole parkland course that plays off of proper tees and greens all year round.
A credit to the greenkeeper and the owner, one who manages the course and one who maintains a membership that keeps kids off the course and does not place too much wear on the course.
He also charges a sufficiently high price to keep the jean and football shirt clad chavs off the course. (I believe in golf for everone but there has to be some standards to keep the game special)
The course itself is a flat fairly unchallenging 18 hole course that plays much easier in the winter than the summer when the links like rough comes into its own and you stray from the fairway at your peril.

Holes to note are:

The par 3 2nd over a lake with a 2 tier green.

The par 5 7th that tempts you into a long 2nd over a lake if your drive is good enough.

The short par 4 10th that plays into the (in my opinion) best green on the course.

and finally the new dogleg par 5 15th (still awaiting the re re-opening of this) I challenge you to hit this green in 2!

On the whole a very nice course and worth a visit if you are in the area.
