Le Touquet offers 3 excellent golf courses: 9 hole Le Manoir at 2817m; 18 hole La Foret at 5872m; 18 hole La Mer at 6393m;
Le Manoir, designed by Bill Baker, is the 9 hole course at Le Touquet. Ideal for the beginner or for the golfer wishing to perfect his game, the Manoir is a course laid out within the Dunes and offers all the facets of the game of Golf.
La Foret, designed by Horace Hutchinson and opened in 1904, is laid out in Le Touquet's scenic pine forest and has a relatively flat layout, very pretty, with some tight fairways and strategically placed bunkers. Less taxing than Le Mer and suitable for all levels.
La Mer, designed by Harry Colt, has been the venue for the French Open on a number of occasions and was recently voted one of the top 100 courses in Europe. The greens are well protected and the course demands accuracy rather than power. The views are stunning and you could be mistaken for believing you are playing a classy Scottish golf course. The centre stage for numerous Major championships, La Mer Course has been Le Touquet's crowning glory for more than 60 years. Superbly sculpted within the dunes, the setting is magical with the trees occasionally outlining the horizon. In between the bands of sand, the fairways remain the natural paths to follow. The greens are a finishing touch to this work of art. It is a passionate course for the seasoned player.
