DESCRIPTION:

Golf de Belle Dune is the southern most club in the triumvirate of top French golf clubs which also comprises Le Touquet and Hardelot. Designed by Jean-Claude Cornillot and opened in 1990 Belle Dune nestles within one of the finest areas of sand dunes in Western Europe.Always superbly maintained, the first few holes wind through green maritime pine trees with water a constant hazard, but then the course enters the dunes, covered with marram grass and presenting their own challenge. The greens, large, true but hard to read, will test the best of golfers. The course is recognised as one of the best in France and has already hosted the French Ladies Open twice. Visitors are always welcome.

You know you shoot a very good round when scoring 30 and over!

Great golf course, the first 7 holes are in the pin woods, parkland style then it changes to Links type for 6 holes and terminates in parkland again. Up or down hills you will have fun with club selection when the wind blows, and trust me it blows normally pretty strong being so close the shores.
It is a real beauty and you will need a good 5 hours for a four balls round.
The club house is extra small but extra large in service quality. The food was served almost before we ordered it!! it was so fast, just what we neeeded.
Go there and enjoy every hole, a real germ! SSO is 73.6 if I remember well, so not playing to your handicap is not a dishonour!

A favourite, well worth the effort to get there

Played here a few times and it is always great fun.
It's a bit off the beaten track (30 minutes south of Le Touquet) but it's well worth the effort.
The course is set in a costal area in/around an exclusive holiday home development. So some of the holes run through the woods, some along the more exposed coastal areas and then the final few run around/across the manmade lakes onto which the (large!)wooden style holiday homes look over.
Always well maintained and one to make sure you play.
