Kilkenny Golf Club

Kilkenny GC is a well laid out par 71 course in County Kilkenny, Ireland. The course has a SSS of 71 which reflects the difficulty of the course.
The course is in excellent condition; the greens were cut tight; were fast and undulating. Putting downhill not recommended.
I entered an Open Singles Competition held during the club's Open Week; over 280 players were entered in the competition which was played throughout the day. I was paired with two KGC club members who were excellent hosts/company.
The competition entry fee was only 15 Euro which was excellent VFM compared with their usual visitor green fee.
The staff in the pro shop were very welcoming and the catering service excellent also. Highly recommended.
