Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, founded in 1959on coastal land south of Marbella, is the second oldest golf club on the Costa del Sol and a fantastic golf resort.
Offering a hotel, leisure and spa facilities plustwo Championship length 18 hole golf courses plus a 9 hole Par 3 course Guadalmina has played host to many professional tour events including the Spanish Championships in 1965, European Tour Qualifying School in 1995 and 1996plus the Spanish PGA Championships in 1998.
The South Course, developed in 1959, was designed byJavier Arana and Folco Nardi. With narrow fairways and mature trees causing problems this course is renown for its challenge and is therefore more suited to themore experienced player.
The North Course,developedin 1973, was designe by Folco Nardi. Running almost parallel tothe South Coursethis course is shorter and hillier than it's older sister andhas numerouswater hazards to add difficulty.
