The Dona Julia Golf Club, which opened in 2006,is a pretty resort style course with some sweeping Mediterranean views.
Designed by Antonio Garcia Garrido as thecentre piece of agolf resort and residential development (with the course running up the valley and the housing set on the hills above) the very picturesque 18 hole coursehas wide rolling fairways and huge greens (comprising an average of 700 m2) allconstructed to USPGA standards.
The design of the course offers twodistinct sets of nine holes.Thefrontnine holes are the more difficult with long holes winding through trees, lakes and rivers whilst the back nine isflatter. Unusually the design has three Par 3's in a row (11, 12 and 13).
The course would be a hard slog so buggies are recommended.
