Golf in the Beautiful Chilterns

The course is lovely. They have had a new greenkeeper for the past 3 years apparently and it has come on in leaps and bounds.
I played in an Inter-club match there for the first time today and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
The 2 sets of tees are sufficiently different in most cases that it doesn't seem like a 9-hole course.
The 3rd (12th) hole is a fabulous hole, short but full of character and very tricky.
It is in excellent condition and puts my own club to shame with the Tees, greens and bunkers being excellent. It is also a tight course, but plenty of room if you are sensible.
The food was excellent and nice and tasty the pasty, chips and Beans a good reward for playing 18 holes and there was plenty of it.

Tight(ish)Fantastic

Tree lined - was warned that I should leave the driver at home as it was a tight tree lined course. To be honest was not looking forward to round that much....

....glad I took the driver, and yes, it is a tight(ish) course, and well worth a visit. It's a members club and for the resources they have it's a lovely place to visit. Give it a go if you get the chance.

This is an old traditional 9 hole course played of two seperate Tee Boxes
This course I believe dates back to 1900.
