£13 what a price for this course

Yes £13 for a very nice course that will bite you if you get it wrong, some very tough holes, but some birdie chances out there too as it isn't a very long course.
Clubhouse is very nice and the course is well worth playing.
Didn't use any practice facilities, so cannot comment on them.
Breakfast was £7 though, and you didn't get tea with that, so eat before you leave. 2 bottles of coke and a kitkat £4.80, so fill your bottles before you leave home guys and girls.
Staff were all very friendly though
But if you get to play this course, don;t turn up the chance, it is a lovely course

Not bad but could improve

Despite enjoying my round of golf at Cambridge Meridian, I did feel that there could be further improvements. The fairways needed a cut and the greens were poor in some areas. The layout of the track is not bad but there are only 2 or 3 holes that stand out. I think the 1st is probably the nicest hole on the course. The bunkers that I did visit were awful. Was like playing off tightly packed gravel. however, the deal was so good that I would probably return, if only for the great breakfast....

Lovely course let down by bunkers

Some time last year The Committee of Ways and Means at Cambridge Meridian Golf Course gave the head groundsman permission to triple the number of bunkers on the course, but they did so on the condition that he was not allowed to purchase any more sand. He has therefore had to make do with brick dust, sherbet, small stones, and bird droppings.

This is tantamount to criminal negligence because the course is otherwise absolutely lovely. Some of the views down the fairways are straight out of golf travel brochures. The fairways are immaculate, the greens are true (if a bit slow) and there are lots of ponds and birds and squirrels all rolling about in a disney-esque celebration of (carefully manicured) nature.

The only way to get coffee is to put coins into a vending machine which rather takes the edge off the idyll but the breakfast is pretty good and the service reasonable.

All in all a very pleasant day's golf which could have been improved with the help of a builders' merchant.

Same Ol' Problem

The entire course is well looked after with the big exception of the bunkers. Very little sand and lots of stones. Same problem that has been present for the last 7 years (that I know of). If you can keep away from the stones you will have a very good value day out.

Very enjoyable course

We played here on a day with light rain but I think in general the weather did not spoil our game. This course has a number of interesting holes with ditches strategically placed to make you think. There are a number of sharp dog legs and some very difficult fast greens.the course is also around 6,300 yards. All in all this is a challenging course ,very interesting holes all set in lovely Cambridge country side. The course is well maintained. I will defiantly play here again.

Really nice course

Played on 9th September 2013. We had the odd shower, but the course was really well looked after. The greens were very good and also very tricky. You could easily lose shots with your putts as the greens have well designed undulations. The bunkers were perfect with good layers of sand. I think they have really good ground staff on this course, as you could see, they took pride in looking after it. The course was just outside Cambridge and it was a really nice find. Quite testing in places. If you are ever in the area, give it a go. It's a little gem of a find.

Would like to play on a summers day

We paid £12 on a Monday but not sure if this was a special price. The course was in pretty good condition considering it had been raining for a couple of day's.The greens had lots of undulations and fairways had bunkers, ditches and water in strategic places.Beware if you stray offline but hit straight and you will be rewarded.

Well worth the visit

The club is named after the Greenwich Meridian Line which runs through the course. It's a mix of classic links and parkland, with water hazzards on all but 5 of the holes and large undulating greens, you will need a fearless approach and a steady head. The 9th is a severe dog leg right and tempting to cut the corner but not allowed as you have to to go over a pair of brooks which is stated on the card. Two of the par 3's are very long at a hefty 200yds which was hard to reach as being accurate is important, there are 5 par 5's dog legs play a large part. I loved the course and will definately play again as I think course knowlwedge would have helped
