Durham University Golfing Society is an exclusive club designed for students, alumni, and staff of Durham University. Set across multiple local courses, the society offers its members access to some of the finest golfing facilities in the North East of England. Though the society doesn’t have a course of its own, it regularly plays at renowned courses such as Brancepeth Castle and Ramside Hall, which provide top-quality parkland layouts with challenging holes and stunning views of the surrounding countryside. With par 72 courses that stretch over 6,500 yards, the society’s members enjoy some of the most scenic and testing rounds in the region. Easily accessible from Durham city centre and located close to major roads such as the A1, these courses offer convenience as well as an enjoyable golfing experience. The society fosters a strong sense of community and sportsmanship, offering tournaments, social events, and inter-university competitions throughout the year.
