Superb course

The course is challenging yet fair. Good shots are rewarded and poor shots hard to find in the fairly deep rough. The greens are in excellent condition and are difficult to read with their slopes and subtle borrows. The course has lots of eye taking holes with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. I would recommend that anyone that is less than fit books a buggy when playing the course. Overall it is a superb course and one of the best I have played across the UK. I am definitely looking forward to my next visit.

Lovely course, great views, warm welcome.

We were made to feel very welcome in the pro shop, which is always a great way to start a round on a new course. The clubhouse is warm and friendly, with great views of the course and the hills.

As for the course itself, it's hard to fault. The tees, greens and fairways were in great condition for March, and there are some lovely looking holes here.

The front 9 is okay, but it's on the back 9 where the best holes are. You will have a bit of a climb up to the 12th green first, but once up there you'll get some wonderful views and some great holes. The standout is probably the par 4 18th, which drops 400 feet from tee to green, but both par 5's on the back deserve a mention too.

Give Gloucester a go. I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy it.
