Really nice course

Langley Park located in Beckenham, Kent is a lovely course with some challenging holes usually guarded by a number of bunkers. It also has a number of tight tree lined fairways. The course is well maintained with the greens in excellent condition. I would definitely recommend the course and facilities and I am already looking forward to playing at the course in the near future with some new friends whom I met at this friendly and welcoming club.

Proper golf club

Excellent golf club, do arrive early and make use of the putting and chipping greens, particularly the putting green. The greens here run perfectly but are very quick. There are also a few nets. The course is hard work as the holes are long so there is no respite but it is an excellent challenge and all beautifully presented.
Lovely clubhouse too with good changing rooms, friendly pro shop and nice bar overlooking the 18th and practise greens.

Long and Difficult

I found the course really hard to score well. A lot of very long par 4 holes which with the very wet conditions made reaching the green difficult.
A flat course, muddy underfoot with a lot of leaves along fairways.
A very enjoyable day but probably better suited to lower handicap golfers.

Beautiful course - recommended

This is a beautiful parkland course in Beckenham, South East London/Kent. It is only a par 68 as it has no par 5s off the yellow tees. This limits the potential for birdies/pars. Each of the 4 par 3s are enjoyable challenges particularly the 18th where water is in play! The course is generally flat walking with mainly gentle doglegs and/or narrow tree lined aspects from the tee. From the yellow tees 6 of the 14 par 4s are over 430 yards and one other is +400 yards. Hitting GIRs is very difficulat for the medium/high handicappers. When playing a course for the first time I expect to reurn no worse than 4 or 5 shots above handicap. My disapointment was that all aspects of my golf game were poor on the day and did not measure up to the challenge the course brings; no explanation for that because the course was in beautiful condition. I look forward to getting another chance to play it again. We played as a members' guest so the green fee paid was good VFM. For those who generally like to breakfast before a game unfortunately there was no hot food until after finishing our round. Service and quality was excellent as was the service in the pro shop.

Beautiful, challenging course - go for it!

Hugely enjoyable. The welcome we received from Terry in the professional shop was superb and the course was in impeccable condition with the greens being immaculate. We had a most pleasant lunch on completion of our round with the bar and catering staff being most obliging and friendly.

The course is quite stunning - and that was in the rain! In the main, you need to get your drive away and you will be fine. Bunkers are deep. Greens are fast - so watch out.

Memorable holes - 10 - a challenging par 3 - which I managed to birdie.

16 - a stunning view, dog leg right.

18 - facing the lake, clubhouse and with the green on the left, along with some trees and a pond - AIM SLIGHTLY LEFT - and pray !

If you play this course, you will love it. We were treated to a courtesy, so many thanks to Langley Park.

Highly recommended and really easy to travel to.
