Good course and excellant value for money

One of the oldest courses 125 years old this year. At the time of writing July 2018, they are doing a 4 ball Mon-Thu for £76 . . £19 each. This is a bargain for a members course. Similar member courses in the area are typically £30 a round.

Greens were in good condition, and this is a well cared for course. Interesting hole layouts, particularly the back 9. It is a tree lined parkland course, but there are often shots through the trees and the rough isn't too bad.

There are several steep holes, which is something to bear in mind if you are not taking a buggy.

Friendly club, which is not always the case with a members only club. Nice touch the pro in the shop came out as we were about to tee off asking if we needed anything and told us where the on course water points were and wished us a good round.

Clubhouse served full menu of food and drink. Again friendly staff and lovely terrace overlooking the course to chill out.

Recommended - especially at the green fee currently on offer.

One to return to

Played 19/04 after a weekend of awful weather, following a winter of awful weather, and surprisingly played a relatively mud free round. Plenty to point fingers at, but after the last few months, bunkers with little sand - it's rained, fairways with a lot of divots - it's rained and some softer spots on the greens - it's rained...... we could have had a darned sight worse. Actually, after the green staff aerating the second 9 greens, we were very lucky.

Only gripe would be that they made DJ wait for so long for his baguette!

Nice little course

As usual I didn't use the practice facilities, so I gave it a 3. I'm told there is a practice range but not long enough for long iron/driver
Course was quite well laid out, but many v straight holes, so keep it fairly straight, and you can score very well here, if you don't keep it straight, there are quite a few trees that will accommodate your ball.
Greens were ok, not too many bobbles despite the hollotining , slower than many we are playing this summer, but a reasonable speed

Good course that will only get better

A very warm welcome in the Pro Shop when I arrived. The practice facilities are OK. A couple of driving nets, a pitching green and a green. The course is undergoing drainage improvements so it would be unfair to criticise the quality of the fairways; which were very good on those where they were not doing the work. Greens were fantastic and very true. Some interesting holes to negotiate yourself around. All in all, it was enjoyable and I very much look forward to returning when the work has been completed.

Superb Course

A tranquil oasis amid the bustle of Enfield. Challenging course that was excellently manicured and offers a test for all handicaps. Great value for money deal - we paid £20 - and will certainly visit again when the opportunity arises.

Cleverly sited in an urban sprawl, worth a look

Parkland, with some tight fairways, although some had wide open spaces, cut by a recurring brook/ditch that made the walk interesting. It is up and down but not too taxing, a few 'blind holes' that benefit from local knowledge.

There are some interesting challenges, but not what you would consider to be 'feature' holes. At the time of the visit tee boxes were showing signs of wear, ground was soft and greens were less than even (consequently difficult putting). All in all though a fair day out, nice weather helps, some good views once you get to the top of the hills, established trees seemed to get in the way a bit, and bunkers were a little light of sand... so keep out of the bunkers, avoid the ditch, mind the trees and be aware of the gradients when approaching greens... some green/tees were close so potential for wayward shots to be a bit of a nuisance, but take care and it should be a good day out.

Club house facilities are fine, cuisine is good and service is with a smile...

Not bad, but a bit scruffy.

Not a bad course, but rather scruffy, particularly the rough. Some very hard and tight lies, mainly due to the lack of rain. Greens are well kept though, and bunkers have generous amounts of sand. Unusual tight course, but not particularly long. A stream meanders through the course in a ditch which is about 12ft across. It is completely overgrown with tall vegitation - any ball in their is a lost cause. Worth playing, but at the normal price of £30, it is in my view, overpriced. We payed £20, which is more reasonable.
Clubhouse excellent, and the breakfast - to die for - HUGE.
