Dewstow Golf Club, once a beloved fixture in the Monmouthshire golfing scene, offered two beautiful 18-hole courses – the Valley and the Park. Prior to its closure in 2017, the club provided golfers with a mix of parkland and woodland terrain, featuring rolling fairways, water hazards, and well-guarded greens. The Valley Course was renowned for its undulating landscape and strategic challenges, while the Park Course offered a more open layout. Conveniently located near the M4 and close to Caldicot, Dewstow was accessible from Newport and Cardiff.
The club’s tranquil countryside setting, coupled with its proximity to landmarks like Dewstow Gardens and Grottoes, made it a popular destination for golfers seeking a peaceful and scenic round. Although the courses have since closed, Dewstow Golf Club remains fondly remembered by many for its combination of natural beauty and challenging play.
