Great experience from start to finish.

My first visit to West End Golf Club in Halifax, Yorkshire and I couldn't be happier!

We were so well looked after from booking phone call to leaving the car park, making for a great day's golf.

We booked a buggy which was waiting for us on arrival, and the Golf Pro made a special point of coming out to tell us the greens had been hollow-tined and weren't at their best.

However, once we got the pace of the Greens (they were a bit slow) both Tony and myself scored better, after all, we are now into autumn golf.

The members we met were all very welcoming, even the green keeper made an effort to explain some restrictions for the buggy, then chatted about the course, explaining some of the places to avoid.

The course was a good challenge with fiive very different par 3's.

I'd thoroughly recommend a visit to this well-maintained friendly club.

After golf we had a nice meal in the clubhouse again very welcoming overall a great experience just how a golf club should be!

Great course, friendly and helpful staff and members

Played here today at the West End Golf Club Halifax with TSG blogger Kevin Booth. Well very surprised and very pleased especially as we are going into autumn conditions.

Well maintained, the greens were good, fairways were well cut and kept. The clubhouse was welcoming, the staff were very friendly and the food was superb. Met the club Pro and some of the pro shop staff, very friendly and helpful the member stopped n chatted. All in all, a very good day's golf, the weather was a bonus (Indian Summer).

Will be playing here again!

Nice Local Club

I'll be joining - it's just up the road and the course is in great shape.

Value for money based on me playing with a member at £14

There may only be 2 water hazards and I found them both but only 1 claimed a ball. 18 holes and 1 ball lost is magnificent for me!

Well worth a trip, if you hit it straight and long, you'll be fine, if not, there's a fair few trees to negotiate (badly, in my case!).
Very enjoyable indeed
