Tired, dirty and stuck in the 70's....

I played Low Laithes Golf Club in Yorkshire in Sep 2022 and despite looking forward to it a lot, I couldn't have been more disappointed. Everything about this club suggests the owners (or the Members) don't care! From the Breakfast to the coffee, to the dirty cutlery and the grubby chairs, I would have no interest in returning to the club.

The course itself is OK, and I am sure it has seen better days, but the constant criss-crossing of holes (I actually teed off over two Tee boxes during the round) suggests that you should have insurance before visiting. However, so's not to be seen as running the place down completely, I would highlight a couple of very pretty Par 3 holes but otherwise, it's fairly unmemorable.

Such a shame, as my hosts are members here (albeit as part of a group club membership) but even they were embarrassed by the quality of the greens, and the state of the clubhouse. Come on guys, it's 2022, give the place a proper clean and modernise!

Low Laithes

Low Laithes is an undulating course set near to Wetherfield, I have been a member there with another TSG member Kevin Booth. The course is well maintained, the Pro and the members are approachable and friendly. Couple of tricky par 3s. The course itself is enjoyable to play. After the round, pop into the clubhouse for a very tasty meal at a reasonable price

Great course with old values

Low Laithes Golf Club is in the heart of West Yorkshire. I have been a member here for a number of years and this is a great course that challenges any golfer. The clubhouse is old and needs attention but I would recommend people to play this course. Highly recommend!
