Situated on the edge of the New Forest in Wiltshire, Hamptworth Golf and Country Club offers an 18-hole, par 72 course renowned for its lush landscapes and the challenging 16th hole, “The Beast.” Established in 1994, the club is accessible via the A36 and is near attractions like the New Forest National Park, offering opportunities for walking, cycling, and wildlife spotting.

TOUGH CHALLENGE

This course is about 15 years old but has a much greater maturity than most of its contemporaries. Steep undulations, sharp doglegs, regular water hazsrds, heavy rough and trees aplenty add up to a stiff challenge. It is also a "long walk" although buggies are available. Driving range on site. Clubhouse and changing facilities looking a little sad at present. Greenfee for Mondays & Tuesdays is currently £15 - vg value.

Hamptworth

Freebie using members voucher so GREAT value ! Course in good condition. Playing quite short although still quite testing in these dry conditions. Greens not very receptive but run true. Short game not up to it. Bunkers can fill with water when wet. 3 or 4 very testing holes.
