TPC at Prestancia opened in 1985 as the third private club iin theTPC Golf Network. The quality fo the course and its facilities is recognised by the fact that it hasbeenthe hostclub for eightChrysler Cup Tournaments, and fiveAmerican Express Invitational's Champions Tourevents.
Laid out over nearly 600 acres of land TPC Prestancia offers two championship length golf coursesin the beautiful Palmer Ranch area of Sarasota, Florida.
The Stadium Course was designed by Florida'sown Ron Garl with PGA Tour player Mike Souchack as consultant. The 6,927 yard, par 72 course wasfashioned after the TPC Network's flagship course, TPC Sawgrass, which allows for maximum gallery enjoyment from themany hills dotted along the broad fairways.The Stadium Course definitely rewards shot making more than length and features undulating greens that rise and fall as players approach the signature 9th and 18th holes.
The Club Course, at 6,518 yards off the back tees, is shorter than the Stadium but is generally considered to be the tougher of the two courses. Designed by Robert Von Hagge with PGA Tour player Bruce Devlin as consultant, it is an eclectic Florida design with classic doglegs and hazards (both natural and mad-made) combining to presents many challenges that even the toughest competitor might find difficult.
Both courses havefairways and greens of bermuda grass and both are golf buggy only (no walking).
