Hi All,
I'm thinking about getting my clubs re-gripped over the next few weeks, after being advised recently that this is something you should look every couple of years. Anyone got any advice on the best grips to go for?
I have been very happy with the Golf Pride grips that came with my Miizuno irons but would be interested to know any other TSGers experience and how much I should be looking to pay?
Lemme know

Only one grip for me they are called LAMPKINS (or something like that) they are very popular brand and most club fitters will stock them. I had my grips fattened with a couple of extra layers of binding tape, they usaully use 2 layers I had 4, it's personal choice - I do prefer fat grips.
Your set of 9 irons will probably cost about £35-£40. You will notice a difference straightaway, I have mine done every couple of years and have the same grips on my woods too.

Thanks Jack, I've looked at these as well but wasn't convinced but I like the idea of fattening the grips a little - good tip!
Cheers

Ah yes - golf grips - I once listened to some advice about golf grips... it was said that by soaking them on hot hot water a couple of times all the olis and grease accumulated over the years would come away and leave the grips as new. In my innocence I tried it...
Consequently I've replaced them all with some golf pride ones... chosen at a local driving range form the samples they had...
As an ex tennis player I knew that too fat and too soft were not ideal for me, and that a little firmer lets me grip less tightly...
So saying I have a softer grip on my wooden sticks,,,
Cost varies, £4-5.00 per grip *12 ish. And you could fatten grips - but that becomes a preference and something you would have to try with one or two before getting the right options for you.
Every couple of years sounds about right - even though the ultr-sonic club cleaning guys will say that grips and club-heads can be cleansed for £5.00 a set... I've tried it and yes it does make a difference.. but new grips are always recommended and once you find the combinations that work fo you be advised to buy spare grips... as ranges change quite frequently ...
Change your grips and see the results...
Golf pride, lots of variants/options...
