The lastest system upgrade changed the 'Add My Scorecard' process - made it easier/ faster plus now lets you add additional detail (whether you hit the fairway, number of putts taken, distance of average drive).

This detail will be useful after the next upgrade because you will have the ability to see your shooting stats in chart form - Show my averages (pars, birdies, bogeys, putts etc); Show my progress over time; Show me measured against someone else etc, etc.

But, to support this you now have to enter the detail for each hole completed (you can skip holes where you picked up!) whereas there used to be an option to just enter the summary details of your whole round and track your scores just at the top level (eg I scored 34 points !).

Some members have said they liked the ability to just enter summary detail and they miss it...

Do you want the ability to just enter Summary Score Detail to be put back ??

Yes please.  I only record my score on here for fun and not  handicap. My handicap is kept at my home course which i play regular competitions

I just went on and entered my scores for today and despite entering the actual score it would not let me save it, So i ended up putting "1" in each puts taken box then it accepted my score.  I do not count the puts. Have i made a mistake along the way?

Hi TSG - Agree with John please bring back the summary only facility. As you know I tried to enter details of a game earlier this week and was barred from doing unless I put every score for every hole in. Sorry, TOO MUCH DETAIL - especially for the calibre of my game !!!

Please bring back (if you can) the basic logging of Gross score and Stableford score for us.

Best Wishes

Bob Smith

Hi guys,

I tested out the scorecard entry process and also came up with the problem reported by John. The number of putts and in fact actual score should be optional and it appears they are mandatory. This has been past to the technical guys and will be worked on today. It should allow you not to bother with number of putts if you do not keep score of that. It should also allow you to skip holes if you picked up if you are playing a stableford game.

The number of putts and fairways in regulation as previously mentioned will be used in future releases to show where you are dropping shots allowing you to spend more time on the range and/or putting green to improve areas pinpointed by the system.

I also noticed the total number of points showing is wrong, one showing 75 points. This will also be addressed today.

Sack the tester I say!!!!

Happy golfing

Hi Guys,

I have just had news from the technical guys that the scorecard process is up and running allowing you to enter just the score (and miss some out for us high handicaps!). The choice is yours if you wish to add FIR and Putts.

Also the high stableford points being shown on the monthly leaderboard has been changed. (Not to bore people but It was getting same person / same course logic mixed up)

So get back to entering scorecards so we can see who's scoring what out there and have a great game.

Regards

TSG

I Don't know if I'm missing something, but the scorecard doesn't show the actual stableford points for each hole.  I spent 5 minutes re-checking my last card as I Had 1 more point on your system than was on my card......eventually spotted where I had gone wrong, but would have been much easier to look at the points side by side.  Any chance TSG?

TSG thanks for looking into this and sorting out the problems.  For a free site i appreciate the work behind the screen.

Okay, thanks to one and all who contributed suggestions and pointers.

We will, in the next release, add back the ability to enter only summary score detail plus we'll add a column to the scorecard entry showing the Stableford score you achieved (allowing you to quickly spot any discrepancies).

Any other suggestions to post to see if it gains popular support?

WOW!  Can you guys start working for my bank?  If I got the quick, positive responses from them, that I have from you I would not be in the process of switching to another bank!

Thanks a lot

Roly
