That will be most of us I guess..... although I think what you meant was 8am - 10am! ;-)
Personally, as I play most of my golf at weekends, I would always go for a post 10am start, however, having just played at South Essex GC with the newly formed Cyder Cup Society, there is a lot to be said for an early start too (today was an 8.30am meet).
However, with the nights drawing in now, I suspect most of us will be playing pre 10am now.
Be interesting to see what everyone else prefers....

Early start,
I like an early start, but one has to think about the journey as well & the traffic that can be encountered.
When it is local, no problem...

When I was a member of a course I used to regularly tee off pre 7am. That always suited me perfectly as I'd be home before midday and get to spend the rest of the day with wife and daughter which always won me brownie points and therefore playing golf every Saturday was never an issue.

Well... I am pre 10am guy. Although of late i have been more flexible.
I think if you work all week and your keen to play golf on Saturdays then a tee off post 10am takes all of your day. A tee off at 8am, leaves you with a full afternoon to do those little jobs....thats if i can get off the 19th hole lol

I've always been a lunchtime golfer. Usually I look to tee off around 11.45, whether on my own or with playing partners.
Although it splits the day up, I find I can get a good amount done before starting & then more once I've played.
The other bonus is that the course is rarely busy, allowing a 2 hours 45 minutes round for a twoball & if playing well on my own, 2 hours 15 minutes by myself. The golf is also less stop-start & should you be playing faster, you are generally let through as groups seem to be less pressured at this time.
Stating the case... for a later start!

A good case, I still think I prefer first thing in the morning, mainly because you can dress for golf and not have to change clothes. Plus I prefer my afternoons free...
