6 reviews on a short course......(Shendish Manor).

We do like to keep the TSGers well informed.

Just wanted to say thanks for all those reviews.

Strangely enough, Shendish Manor is one of my nearest "pay and play" courses, but I've never tried it out, so those reviews were handy!

I think we can all play a part in providing unbiassed reviews, what I always fin useful:
  • how easy is it to find
  • how good is the parking
  • are we allowed golf shoes in the clubhouse
  • can I have something to eat before the game
  • is the pro shop there and can I borrow clubs I may have forgotten or buy balls/ tees/ stuff
  • are the practic facilities limited to a non-repersentative practice putting green
  • how do the greens play, slow, fast, and how tricky are they
  • what is the nature of the course - mature parkland, hilly, flat, water-ridden
  • Is the sand in the bunkers tour standard?
  • How to the locals regard TSGrs
  • Sometimes - are the views panoramic
  • How pretty are the trees and flowers
  • Any peculiar wildllife to watch out for (Peacocks, Foxes, Deer etc)
  • Perceived quality of course
  • Perceived qulaity of food
  • Perceived quality of welcome...
Much more informative.. and somerimes useful can be too much (detailing feature holes for example) but the basic format can be fact based and allow others to form their own opinion...

as long as the reveiews are written without prejudice then they become useful...
