My Story (18th/19th March 2013):

Golf was a possiblity.....
Free golf balls, a reality, but they (the golf balls) were of the wrong kind: hailstones the size of golf balls.

A freak storm caused disruption on my outward travel.  My flight connection was cancelled, so I was stuck in Atlanta for a night and a day.

After a few hours sleep in an Airport hotel, came the time to decide what to do the next 12 hours.  Lots of posssiblities but I narrowed my options to 2.

1. Golf in nearby golf courses (about 6 to choose from), but that proved too expensive and I have no time to post a game on the TSG website!!!!!!!!

2.  So "downtown Atlanta" with "MATRA" (the airport train), was my decision.

I fell in love with what I saw and want to return for a longer visit as there is so much to discover.  The weather was superb, bright blue sky & Spring temperature.  I decided to vist the Georgia Aquarium, the biggest aquarium in the world apparently.  What a discovery: I was amazed by all I saw, all I learnt: it is huge, buzzing, alive, so informative and geared to all kind of visitors: young, old, families, groups & tourists like me.  There are shops, restaurants, photo shoots, carricature artist and a fantastic theatre where I saw a Dolphin Show, a must be seen - ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR, from all points of view.

A great day out, finished in style in a  downtown Sushi Bar with scrumptious sea food and all the attention a  French woman gets when eating alone!  I did tip the waiter handsomely.

Back on MATRA for Atlanta airport (huge) to collect my bag from the hotel and make my way to my connecting flight to Sarasota.

There will be some real golf in Florida and in North Carolina, watch out for my short reviews.....

THE END.....

PS: I know some TSGers will probably wonder why a story on the Forum, well I just felt like writing.
