Not sure if anyone gets as excited as I do at The Masters but for those that can't wait for the tournament to start proper tomorrow, I thought you might like to know that the Par 3 competition starts tonight at 7pm - SkySports1 or SkySportsHD for those with a high disposable income!

No one who has won the Par 3 Comp. has gone on to win the main competition....

This is great fun and last year made even funnier when Ant & Dec turned up as Lee Westwood's caddie for the comp!

My tip for 2013: Tiger Woods (A young up and coming all rounder!)

After winning 3 tournaments already this year, Tiger Woods does look a good bet - and the bookies agree, making him favourite at the low odds of 4/1.

But I think this could be the year that we see the first European victor since J M Olazabal in 1999.  Last year, Westwood, Poulter, Rose, Hanson and Harrington all finished in the top 10, with McDowell and Garcia not far behind.   Rory McIlroy finished well last weekend, so has now found his way around those new clubs in time for the big events which he favours.   

It's time for our Ryder Cup players to add to the Green Jackets won by Seve Ballesteros, Faldo, Woosnam, Langer, Lyle and Olazabal in the 80's and 90's ..... arise Sir Ian, perhaps?

Definitely Tiger for me - would be amazed if he's not right up there from the end of today.

It's not often I have a bet on him, but that's where I've put my money this time.
