Hi Paul,

I would be up for this if it were somewhere else. Only I went to Celtic Manor in 2011 an was very disappointed by the Roman Road & Montogomerie courses.... I here St.Mellion is worth the trip!

However, I am sure you will get a good repsonse to Celtic Manor if you post it.

:-)

Oh right thanks for the heads up Ian might think abut that then i heard the Vale is nice. Went St Mellion last September it distroyed my game Jack has put all the hazards on the left where most of my balls go. So it might take a few years for me to go back (15 points and 12 lost balls)

IF you're going to Celtic MAnor you really should be playing the 2010 course.  Even if you play badly you're playing on the course were the Ryder Cup was held, and you get to use the Club House they used.  The course is magnificent and its a great experience.  It will cost extra, but well worth it.

I agree with Robin, although we did not play the 2010 course as it was a few months before the Ryder Cup when the course was getting ready for the big event, but I saw/visited the Clubhouse overlooking the 18th hole, I had a fantastic dinner in the Restaurant "The Barn" (I think that was the name), great service, super food and lovely ambiance.  The building has high ceilings,  beautiful apparent wooden beams (most likely oak), great panoramic windows giving plenty of light and a wonderful view over the 18th.

So if anyone spend a few days at Celtic Manor, dont forget to add the Clubhouse and as Robin said the 2010 course to your schedule......

The End.....
