On the 8th-9th of June I am going to the above place for a little golf break. My company always runs a corporate day every year and typically, without prior knowledge, it is the following Friday at the same place. Obviously gives me a couple of practise rounds before but still, a little annoying.

however, I'm being put up for the night there so would anyone be interested in a game there on Saturday 15th June?

i will speak to the club and see if they could do me a deal as they would have made a small fortune out of my company anyway but only if anyone is interested. If anyone is, in theory, I can then try and get something sorted

let me know on this thread and then I will put my salesmans head on and negotiate away.

Games posted. I can increase the number of tee times so add yourself as a reserve and I will increase the number of players allowed

Hi Ash. I know we discussed me joining you here, but I've just remembered that I'll be heading out to the Florida sunshine that day. It's a close call, but I think that Florida will win out this time. Hope you have a great day though.

Being someone who strongly believes in wearing the correct clothing to have a round I always check with new courses, either if they state it on line or by phoning if they don't, wih regards to the 'sock' policy as there are some really outdated rules at certain clubs.

I really don't understand what difference the colour, lenght or style of sock makes to how you play golf.

With the spate of decent weather we're having I am putting everyone through showing off my legs but nothing looks more stupid than shorts and long socks or even the rule that is common of white socks but they allow shorter lengths, but not ankle!! Very strange.

i am glad to tell everyone that Weald of Golf has absolutely no rule on what sock you wear. So my stupid looking white socks will be left at home and black ankle socks it is.

a club that is in the correct century.

By the way I'm an ex infantryman so my legs are in pretty good shape!! If I do say so myself.
