Dear TSGers,
As most of you know, yesterday was the scene of the fourth annual TSG OPEN Golf Day Championship in aid of BALASA at Bletchingley Golf Club in Surrey.
The day began at 9am with over 50+ golfers from all over the South East of England (and as far away as Lancashire), who all came together to enjoy a great day with their fellow 'Social Golfers'.
Whilst there was a smattering of rain for the first couple of hours, the showers soon passed and by 1pm, everyone was back in short sleeves, laughing and joking and making a claim for the prizes.
The day consisted of numerous opportunites to win trophies including Longest Drive, Nearest Pins x2, a 'Beat the Pro' competition, a Team Event, a Yellow Ball competition and a Putting competition. Plus, this year we had sponsors including the London Golf Show and E-teeoff Golf Vouchers.
Mens Champion Golfer - Barry Hill (32 points)
2nd Place - Tony Lloyd (31 points)
3rd Place - Michael Channing (31 points)
Ladies Champion Golfer - Virginija Zlabiene (26 points)
Longest Drive - Andy Gardiner
Nearest Pin - Ian Dixon
Nearest to Pin (second shot) - Ian Dixon
Putting Comp. - John Barber (12 holes - 24 Putts)
Team 4 Ball - Michael Channing, Barry Hill, Ian Ward and Russell Sykes (Solid performances all round!)
Yellow Comp. - Peter Walton, Steve Pollock, Virginja Zlabiene and Kevin Gregory (They got it home!)
Finally, we are very proud to annonce we raised over £700+ for BALASA on the day, so a big thank you to everyone who came and to those who donated and took part in the raffle.
Special thanks to both John Amos and Alan Haywood for helping out on the day!
Til next year...
Happy Golfing!
Ian & The TSG Team
