 Does anyone know the meaning of the South Essex Local Rule 8. ?
" Handicap Shots - A golfer with an odd numbered handicap will receive the odd shot on the Front 9"

At South Essex there are 3 nine hole courses - Heron, Hawk & Vixen. Presumably, the scorecard lists the Stroke Index for each hole from 1 to 9 on each course.
A player with an odd-numbered handicap, for example 17, will get the 'extra' shot on the hole with Stroke Index 9 on the front nine, but will not get a shot on SI 9 on the back nine.
The TSG scorecards currently list the correct no's, but if courses are played in different order, they will have to be adjusted (officially!)
