86 points - you would certainly have to question his handicap !!

The problem has been caused by an error when entering the 'base' scorecard detail (available via the 'Scorecards' tab on the 'Course Details' page). The system currently thinks the course has a Par of 180 (very long course apparently...) and Michael shot a nett 74 (not bad at all).

We're working on it now but don't want to just change it because we need to know how the scorecard got so confused and this example helps us investigate (in the interim Michael leads the world.....).

To start with:-

1 over par = 1 point

par = 2 points

1 under par = 3 points

2 under par = 4 points

but then you have to take account of the [players handicap.

So a 28 hapicapper may well have 2 shots on a particular par 5 hole.

But with superb skill and play  (or luck) he manages a gross birdie (a 4) - taking his 2 shots into account he would score a Gross 4 net 2 for 5 points.

on a par 3 hole - with only 1 shot and he shoots a gross par (3) he would get gross 3 for net 2 for 3 points.

I hope that helps a bit.

Nic
