Hi, How is the Remember Me functionality supposed to work. I find that if I log in and go away for 10 minutes (maybe more, maybe less, I haven't timed it) I've been logged out and have to log in again. Thanks, Colin

Colin, It's because your surname starts with an "S". Someone at TSG had a bad experience with an "S" in the past and is now taking revenge on all "S"s. bob SMITH

Hi Colin, The 'Remember Me' functionality is supposed to remember your login details on subsequent visits to the site, so that you do not have to enter them again. This only works if you do not physically log out (using the top right 'logout' link ). What you are experiencing sounds like a 'session timeout'. For security reasons a users session will time out after a certain period of inactivity. This is so that, if a user accidentally leaves the browser window open on a public computer, another person will not be able to use their account. A 'session timeout' is the equivalent of you logging out, which could be why the 'Remember Me' functionality doesn't appear to work for you in this scenario. Please bear in mind that the 'Remember Me' functionality relies on the browser to perform it's duty and can be affected by browser settings and anti virus software. -- 24/10/2008 12:22:15: post edited by TheSocialGolfer.
