I know everyone is keen to know what we raised and also to see the photos.
Jonathan, the photographer, has flown off to Dubai today on business so I will have to wait a few days for these. Ian is going to do some media stuff with them and I will put them on an online album for all to see and take copies if they wish. Please bear with me on this.
with regards to money. I won't have an exact figure for a few days as still waiting for some to come in but on the day we all raised over £2,200. AMAZING
i had a figure in my head of about £1,500 so blitzed that and with the donations on the Justgiving page its over £2,800
You lot did this, not me. I just booked a golf course. Many of you worked on prizes, many of you donated time and money who couldn't play, many of you gave me support and without you there would not have been a golf day.
Thank you all so much. You have blown me away with the support shown and I hope you all are very proud of yourselves, I certainly am. I hope that those that could make the day enjoyed it and realise the difference they made.

Ash - Thank you so much for organising this day. A very successful day, well organised and with the amazing benefits for your charity. A great social day as well and opportunity to meet so many new people, I thoroughly enjoyed it all. Golf card not so good, but a bad day's golf is better than no golf at all. Hopefully TSG will have more social events like this in the future. My very best wishes and support to you and your family. A pleasure to meet you and many others. Annita

Glad it was such a success and you raised such a terrific amount for a great cause. A good friend of mine has also just begun treatment there, so close to my heart too. Sorry I had to get away at 19:00, so missed the finale, and Ron, if you won first prize with my raffle tickets, I do not want to know!!!!!!!!! David

Hi Ash (et al),
Just a quick note to say thank you to Ash and his team for running such a well oiled operation!
It is no easy job to marshall and organise 70+ golfers around a golf course making sure they are fed with bacon rolls and plied with scorecards, raffle tickets etc. and make sure that everyone stays happy. I certainly only heard positive things as I left.
In my opinion, this day summed up everything that TSG stands for, a community of golfers who just want to play golf and have fun. A huge applause for Ash in pulling this off!
I myself had an exceptional day, and despite being slightly embarrassed by my victory on the day, I must commend my playing partners for keeping me going round what I consider a tough course (they clearly knew I was having a good day but never put any pressure on me). It just proves what can happen when you make the effort to get to the course EARLY, perhaps there a lesson for me there!
That aside, whilst we wait to hear what the final tally we have raised for Royal Marsden Hospital, I would like to thank all the TSGers that turned out for this event and those that donated despite not being there and for supporting Ash at what must be a very difficult time for him and his family!
Well done Ash, Well done TSGers!
Kind Regards
Ian
P.s. As Ash mentioned on a previous thread (he still has the scorecards from the day, should anyone wish to enter them on to TSG!)
