Dear TSGers,

This time tomorrow we'll know who the winner of the inaugural TSG MatchPlay Championship (Sponsored by The Altonwood Group) is and you couldn't have two more evenly matched handicaps for the final...

The Addington

For those that have only joined TSG recently, ‘The Race to The Addington’ began back in March and over 50 TSGers have taken part. We thank everyone that joined in this competition; we have been thrilled with the response and look forward to running this competition again next year!

In the meantime, we look forward to presenting the winner with the brand New Trophy on the 18th green at The Addington at 6pm tomorrow.

Dear TSGers,

What can I say, you couldn't have written a better script had you tried!

Step forward the first ever winner of the TSG MatchPlay Championship.....

ROGER DICKSON!!!!

The game began nip and tuck over the first four holes but then Roger took a commanding lead into the back nine with a four shot advantage..... but a refocused Tony Clayton fought back to level the match on the 18th green in front of a baying crowd.... meaning a play-off hole ensued on the Par 3 first....Tony left his drive short of the green and Roger capitalised with a solid shot just off the putting surface but was still left with a shaky three footer to claim the title!

Tony was magnanimous in defeat and Roger was a worthy winner on the day.

A full match report and pictures to follow in the TSG October Newsletter but in the meantime, thanks to everyone that came along and supported the event. The Addington (our sponsors) proved a true test for them all.
