Anyone been following the Simon Dyson saga where he used his golf ball to tap down a spike mark on his line and now faces a 3 month ban, in addition to the dq he incurred at the time.

Maybe it is just me but it seems incredibly unlikely that he would deliberately cheat with golfers, caddies, officials, spectators and tv viewers all watching ,therefore surely it has to be put down as no more than a rush of blood to the head.

If this is the conclusion surely the dq is punishment enough and all this furore is a lot of fuss about nothing or do people think he has committed a more serious crime and should be further punished?

Can't believe this..... how can you be banded for that, wasn’t the DQ enough!

See the offense here:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14zJgTZdZYo
I guess it gives the Blazer brigade something to talk about at the committee meetings!

I agree it's very odd that they want to ban him as well as the DQ. You wonder whether there's something going on that isn't public yet.
