Had a lesson today and wow, what a difference. I've been struggling so much over the last year that I never thought I would get my old game back. So today I had a lesson and what a difference it has made. I'm now walking down the fairway with a smile on my face. I can now get balls out of the pond\ditches\bushes with ease. I'm back to scooping the balls out with an in to out swing of the ball retriever. Even managed to get a few balls out of the pond with an out to in swing! Managed to drop the ball retriever on top of a couple of golf balls and with a quick flick of the wrists and sub-standard Dunlop finds it's way into my golf bag. One day I'm hoping to have a golf lesson that will bring my old game back to me, but that's another day! Enjoy your ball retrieving, and even your golf at times.... Russ

Don't be drawn in by this display of self-depreciation fellow TSGers, it's just Russ's way of lowering your expectation of his game at this weekend's inaugural TSG Masters.....

....Mourinho would be so proud!

Thanks for giving my game away Ian! I was hoping for a bit of light hearted posting to take people's minds from my game. Also, I will be wearing my 'Bright' outfit. Again, I was hoping this would detract people's attention away from my golf game. See you on Saturday and bring your 'A' game, it's always nice to watch somebody who can play this game. I just hope I'm in his/her group.... lol Russ

It comes to something when such a talented golfer (Russ) has to admit that his most frequently used stick is the ball retriever (which no doubt has been regripped for the weekend).

Seriously though why would you put a sub standard Dunlop ball into your golf bag...

I have a superb new ball, RFID tagged, constant signal so that it is easily located in deep rough, has a self inflating component so that when it hits water the ball floats gently back the the shore, the labelling is a bit Californian, says 'the world's first unloseable ball... ' guarranteed to last for years and good for many rounds.

Not yet available at outlets in the UK... where did you get it from I hear you ask...?

I found it...

Probably won't risk it for this weekend though...
