A friend and fellow TSGers daughter is not very well at the moment so Chris Chandler, me and six others from the Hackers & Bandits group will be competing in the Macmillan Longest Day Challenge on the 26th June. This involves playing 72 holes in a day, we will tee off at 5.30 for the first round and hopefully finish around 20.30.

We have a Just Giving page set up if anyone can spare a few pounds please visit: www.justgiving.com/Richard-Lane-Blackwell and sponsor us on what promises to be a painful day.

We will be completing the challenge at Southern Valley Golf Club in Gravesend, the club have been very helpful and accommodating so its a big thank you to them.

Anyone in area that day please come down to course to buy us a drink or clap as we stagger round for the 4th time, just dont all play and clog up the course we are on a tight schedule!!

Couple of days before the challenge, thanks to those who have donated and to those who have pledged money on perfomance I hope I can stick in some good scores and fleece you for some cash.

We want to know where Steve and Chris are hiding.... probably looking for their stray golf balls or having a tea break.... A little too far for me to go and cheer you up, so looking forward to your update. Brigitte

Hi Bill, we were there playing, there was a cock up in clubhouse communication, the pro did not work on Thursday and he had not told the ground staff we would be there, we started just before 5, the blokes you spoke to came and found us on the 6th, but you were gone when we got back to clubhouse.

We completed all 72 holes, started at 5 finished at 20'30, few body parts hurting by the end, thanks to people who contributed, between the 8 players we have raised over 6 thousand, with a bit still to come in
