Yes...

If your ball is off the green but is in the line off another player, he can ask you to mark ....but when you do this you must only hold the ball in your fingers ... place it down on the ground then pick it up again and replace where marked...

....you must not put the ball in a pocket or clean the ball in anyway or this is a penalty!
