I've tried everything, but my arms will not turn over after ball strike.
To compensate I have started to close the club face of my driver, I know this will lead to more issues, but I'm fighting a wicked slice that has to be controlled.
Irons, Hybrids no problem, but drivers and three woods suffer big time.
I have an artificial joint in my left elbow, so I reckon this is half the problem.
When I hit straight I am over 200yards, but the slice takes off loads of distance and makes me start out left of target.
Any help gladly received

Never try and fix things by yourself. Get a lesson with a Pro. It is the only way....

Move your right foot back half step in your stance... works for me!

I have done that Ian, I'm also turning my left shoulder right of the target, trying to keep the club head flush on plane. the slice is a killer for distance and comes and goes with no warning.
Two on the row kills my confidence and gets me looking for irons and hybrids to get me straight again!
Thanks for the comments chaps

Yes the lesson is the right way forward Paul, I am currently booked into lesson 4 from 5 of a deal at my local club. The pro identified I had a weak grip also, which was resulting in a fade and loss of distance. Couple of other issues he has got me working on, and hitting much better quality golf shots already :)

Hi Paul, there is always the option of not rotating the forearms in the swing at all, problem solved
and gets rid of most of the back stress at the same time

Thanks Andy, thats what I am going to try. I lookining at leting my forearms collapse into a follow through.
Sort of worked on Saturday, but I'm still having to close the face of the club.
i seem to get better results from a weaker grip also?
Paul
