A recent study found the average golfer walks about 900 miles a year.
Another study found golfers drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year.
That means, on average, golfers get about 41 miles to the gallon.
Kind of makes you proud ... Almost feel like a hybrid ...

I sometimes play golf with a bloke who likes a drink to say he is enviromentally friendly would not quite be an acurate fact i would refer to him more like a V8 engine. Once he managed 22 cans of stella in one round and he still managed to hit the ball, i could not stand up with half that amount. Its not unusual for him to consume 8-10 cans in around now he is a reformed person.

Blimey, even the 8-10 cans of Stella he drinks now that he's a 'reformed character' would do for me, I'd be hitting a lot of air shots !! I played recently with the guys from Essex and their tradition of a 'snifter' all round when someone got a birdie, or a par or put a putt in or even just finsihed the hole nearly did for me (good game though...).
