Ha, me too Roger!

Way too wet up here in Essex to play (although some TSGers are out there) but surely there must be some chalk based courses down your way?

I'm told Verulam (see Brigitte's review) is draining well, as does Bletchingley but I suspect that's too far for you...

All the best for 2015!

Regards

Ian

 Bonsoir  Roger
Yes Verulam, Bletchingley, Purley Downs should be on the list of winter golf. Another course that I have not played is Tyrrells Woods..... But as Ian said a little far far you.   What about East Brighton ? TSGers get 2 for 1 rates as well.

But one has to watch for frost free fairways and greens as well.....so may be it just practice time at the covered range and indoor putting

See you in February @ Pyecombe without the snow we had last time....

Kind regards
Brigitte

Redbourn was fun today. Teed off in the snow, but as the round progressed it seemed to ease off..... But as soon as you think like that the weather comes back to bite you. But by the 12th the sun was out and the white stuff started to disappear. Then the course started to show how well it has stood up to the conditions.

Due to the weather lately we are still out there and out of all the courses I have played found Cranham, Epping, and Hobbs Cross superb winter courses to play, at least they are not muddy, soggy, no temp greens and no winter mats. I know these courses are not everyones cup of tee but it makes sense in these conditions until the weather settles down, at least quite a few of us still get a game in what I think are superb conditions

I've tried to put a brave face on it....but its just too cold!
I hope to get out on a par 3 for a practise round on Saturday, but I think proper golf at my place is a month or two away.
I'll work on my putting, driving, chipping & approach....bunkers will have to wait!
