Golf Forums - CROWN GOLFERS TOURNAMENT 2009

Hello EVERYONE its coming around again and as it worked out at short notice for 2008, i'm going to carrying it on again.....I am now putting together the courses that need to be played between JAN 09 - JUNE 09..... can you please tell me what courses you would like games to be played at, so far were looking to include some of these ...... ABBOTSLEY, ADDINGTON COURT, BATCHWORTH PARK, BLUE MOUNTAIN, BROKE HILL, CHELSFIELD LAKES, CHELSFIELD LAKES, COTTESMORE, HAMPTON COURT, MERRIST WOOD, MILFORD, ORPINGTON, PINE RIDGE, PYRFORD, SHERFIELD OAKS, SOUTH ESSEX, SOUTH WINCHESTER, STAPPLEFORD ABBOTTS, THE BRISTOL, THE HERTFORDSHIRE, TRENT PARK, DALE HILL, OLD THORNS, MILL RIDE, CHART HILLS, SURREY NATIONAL, WESTERHAM, WOLDINGHAM, GATTON MANOR, BIRDS HILL, HEVER CASTLE, NIZEL...........Anyone from the group can post a game and i will be posting the final requirements for each game and the points system so EVERYONE who plays in group game will be given points and then by end of june we will have our group final, which will be something like...... TOP 6 LEADING POINTS TABLE, TOP 4 POINTS LEADING WOMEN, TOP 4 POINTS LEADING MEN, plus 4 best scores from any of the games played ( ONLY 1 PLAYER CAN SECURE 1 PLACE ) so if your leading the points table and you've got one of the best score within the 6 months with 44 points, then the next best scorer will be in the final.......MORE DETAILS TO FOLLOW......... remember this group is still open so join and get your games and scores in.

the above is just an example and i have sent the final details to 3 other golfers who are looking over my tournament details for 2009, so its equal for everyone

Seems well thought out to me.  My aim would be to just play and enjoy and if you end up in te final great, if not you have still had a good time.

I enjoy playing different courses and have some time off during the week on a shift basis, but there is no way that i will be able to play many of these course...   especially if comps are on Mondays & Wednesdays.

But shall watch this space for future developments

What I mean is that the website TSG may not be able to cope with all the variables.  It would seem that anyone can play on any of the days and be included in the tournament.  Can they then put their own points on the system? or does it need a coordinator? 

If its not just Crown golf clubs, perhaps it should be called the TSG Tournament 2009

Do I sometimes worry too much!?

Well to answer a few questions....... PETER, you have it so right come and play and enjoy yourself and have a few laughs on the way and thanks for the mention of the good work, i do but try____________JOHN, games can be posted by anyone from the group but MUST be a group game and min players is 2 so scores can count, so games can be played and posted on ANY day, so you decide when you want to play, so its not just monday and wednesdays___________ ROLY, I have so much spare time so i will be sorting out all the scoring and other info that needs to be done, like i've been doing already, i will also be posting results fortnightly so EVERYONE on TSG can see how the competition is going and then it might tempt them to join in, but the group members will get updated weekly by email. So before december 31st i will be requesting email addresses from all group members, yes you are worrying about nothing and its called CROWN GOFERS TOURNAMENT because thats the name of the group, i cant believe i've just ad to explained that part...ha ha ha_______________________________________________________ The full details of the tournament and the requirements should be posted during this week, just getting some finishing touches done by some other golfers so i'll say THANK YOU now for contribution
