Well done John, that last putt was terrific and will be remembered for a long time.

Congratulations John. Welcome to the 2015 Hall of Fame. Also well done Andy. That has got to be the best way to finish a final. The adrenalin must have been pumping and the atmosphere electric. High 5 to both of you. Lady Jude

Thanks to you all.

Thanks to Ian for setting the competitions running. I look forward to competing in next years comps.

Andy it was a pleasure to play a game with you, and, you nearly got me in the end, all down to a cheeky texas wedge onto the green and into the hole.

It was a nail biting finish, on the 18th green, a very enjoyable Matchplay to follow, laughter & tension, all in very good spirit with the sun shining on all TSGers who attended.
Thanks Ian for making this possible and looking forward to next year's competition with hopefully a few more Ladies golfers taking part.

A Big Well Done to John, It's not easy keeping your nerve in such a stressful situation. You are a worthy winner. I would also like to send my congratulations to Andy for making it such a memorable final, I followed all the action on Twitter and the match sounded all over by the 13th hole, but well done, Andy, for bringing it down to the last putt. Another great event for TSG, well done, Ian, I'm so gutted I had to work. Looking forward to the next event, if I can get in on the ballot.

What a great day it turned out to be. Perfect weather and a superb venue.... the course in beautiful condition.
my only disappointment was in the number of those who turned out to support the final, which proved to be a nail biter, with two very worthy opponents. John appeared to have had it sown up by the 13th, but nobody counted on Andy's tenacity, and once he had shut up ;-) and got his head down, he proved what a good golfer he really is. He clawed his way back so that it all went down to the 18th.
John off the green at the back, about 16- 18ft from the pin, with a huge break to negotiate, and Andy a long putt, but on the green.
John decided to use his putter, a sensible option being on the fringe, and putted first...the tension was palpable. He struck the ball perfectly, and it snaked into the hole, to break Andy's heart. A fantastic finish to a great match. The BBC would have loved it.
Well done to both of them for providing us with a great spectacle, and many congrats to John, for hanging in there, and Andy for never giving up.
Those of us that attended also enjoyed playing this superb course. I hope it's one we go back to regularly, and that more of us will support the event next year.

Please do not allow this to look as though I am taking anything away from John and his victory, as he thoroughly deserved the win, no question.
Alan I mean no disrespect, but with what is going on, there was no broken heart. John had at least 2 shots to guarantee the win on the 18th, probably 3 after a punched S wedge carried over 90 yards into the breeze, and my chip back went over the edge of the hole.
John from 170-190 yards was probably as good as he has ever been, and I was putting first on almost every green, it was almost getting annoying . but unusually, I missed too many greens with a 9 iron or wedge in my hand, and off of 12, you just can't do that and beat John playing some seriously solid golf to handicap

John Barber, GREAT BLOKE and worthy 2015 Match Play Champion. Be happy and stay that way

Now back to relaxing as a TSG'er
