 Hello all,
I've been a free member for quite a while, lurking in the  background lol.  I wear glasses and i'm struggling to find the damn ball.  I can be 4ft away and still not see it. Someone had mentioned polarised lenses/the coloured ones helps the ball stand out more.   Is this true?? I mean I understand a certain amount of ball blindness is due to my lack of experience being so new to the game. So frustrating

So,  if anyone has tried or thoughts, much appreciated

Whilst there are a selection of 'see your golf ball better' glasses advertised you can try a few things before spending money...

The first step is to watch where the ball goes and make sure you have a line, if you look down to put your club back in the bag you may lose the line.

Ask playing partners to spot for you...

Men tend to over estimate their distances so end up looking too far in front, ladies tend to be more conservative....

I find reatolite lenses as good if not better...  and I tend to spot balls of fellow players but can still walk past my own...

Yes most playing partners are good at helping to spot my ball. Although, now me thinks that the leaves aren't helping. Sigh, oh well, looking forward to my first playing winter. See how long I last.

Many thanks for your response Steve

Yep the combination of low level sunlight and autumn leaves make it just a little more tricky... You might experiement with diffferent couloured balls, Yellow/Orange in the snow, Pink in the Autumn - might help..

New skills required for winter play, have fun...

I find wearing my polarised sunglasses helps sharpen everything up, and definitely makes it easier to spot the ball in flight. It's one of the reasons I have them on all the time playing golf, unless it's raining/particulary gloomy - that and my eyes are rubbish when the sun's out!

Polarised lenses are really for reading the greens as they show up the contours.
