Hi Everyone.
Greetings from Australia
I'm. a first time user so please forgive any mistakes my, name is Bob and I am Scottish born in Glasgow, also lived in Leeds 1965-1970, so I follow Glasgow Rangers and Leeds United, married with 3 grown up kids I'm 73 years old, my interests are football of all codes, Surf Fishing, playing golf but I am just a social golfer
My main interest is collecting golf club scorecards from around the world, and at this point in time I have scorecards from over 250 different countries, island, and even places where there is no traditional golf courses as we know them, I trade and swap wth other collectors around the world and of course send hundreds of emails to different golf clubs
I also write short golfing stories for the inside Golf Magazine here in Australia, about unique golf courses of the world, I do not get paid for them just the satifaction of having them published.
Well I won't bore you anymore and I look forward to posting some interesting golfing material
Have a great day everyone.
Scottish Bob

Hi Scottish Bob
I can already feel the Scottish /French alliance/connection as going back from centuries ago.
Sorry you have trouble posting your reply to me on this page, any more problems please contact The Team and things will get sorted out promptly.
My scorecards are mostly from courses I have played over the years or from places I have visited as I have a curious mind.
I don't actually coll ect the cards, so you are most welcome to have them. The cards have my scores or scribbles. I have to find them as they are scattered all over my house ! I shall keep the one with "my Hole in One".
i may be able to get some cards from Mr L. as he plays a lot in Europe.
if you give me your email either on this page or in the TSG (The Social Golfer) message column, i can send you the list of the courses in question.
I don't want to stop this thread as it makes interesting reading, something new is always exciting, and. believe me you will get a lot of followers!!!!! !
!Looking forward to your reply and please send us some sunshine,, blue sky and warmth from Australia
kind regards
Brigitte and "Vive Le TSG"

"Bonjour" Brigitte
I am glad that I was successful in posting my reply to you, I guess it is just old age slowing me down and trying to keep up with technology, I would be honoured to add any of your scorecards to my colletion, but only if you are sure that you no longer want them.
Regarding your "Hole in One" scorecard you shourld put in in a frame, I have never managed to obtain that great feat, it is also a bit spooky as I see that your home Golf Club is Hampton Court Palace, because I have just sent them an email explaining a little bit about myself and my collection to try and obtain a couple of their scorecard, unfortunately no reply yet but I will keep my fingers crossed.
Regarding the question of which is the Oldest Golf Club or Oldest Golf Course, I sort of opened a Pandora's Box for myself with the title, it is sometimes hard to find our just what comes firs,t a group of men meeting for a game of golf on some early Scottish links and having no clubhouse so to speak, or the building of a golf clubhouse and then their having members play their golf, I guess their is no easy answer.
I look forward to posting some intersting facts and figures about Unique golf courses of the world.
"Merci" and have a great day.
Scottish Bob

i need your email address Bob, so I can send you list of courses/scorecards.
i shall have a word with the highest authorities at Hampton Court Palace, how can they ignore Scottish Bob's polite request.
