Golf Forums - How Do You Mark Your Golf Balls?

Everyone knows that they should put a mark on their ball so they can identify it.

Well how do you mark your golf ball?

I put a black dot each side of the makers name.

Then I put a blue line about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch long.

I use this blue line to line up the ball for my drives and my putts.

Now the winter rules are in I also line up the blue line on the fairway.

So how do you mark your ball?

I bought one of those ball marking sets with the free Sharpie pen and mark all my balls with a red arrow. I, too, use the arrow to line the ball up to target on the tee and on the green, not that it makes much difference!!     

i use what ever golf balls i can.when i mark my balls i out a smilely face under the logo its fu

I also put a smile on the ball and I do it by using the number as the nose and I put dots as eyes then a HUGE smiling mouth .

I mark it on both sides so I can tell very easily that it is my ball (I once played the wrong ball and got a 2 shot penalty !!).

Everyone recognises my ball now and occasionally I get 'lost' ones back

2 dots and then 1 under it always below the number on each side, that way I don't have to pick it up.

When I have the time I draw the characture from the Nightmare before Christmas JACK on the ball. It drives my friend crazy when people we don't know yell out " I FOUND JACK ".
