Hi Brian,
You can play from whichever tees you wish, just as long as the format has been agreed with your opponent before you tee off...

I had the pleasure of playing Phil today at pedham. A lovely course on a blistering hot day accompanied by Nev and Patrick saw a lot of good golf.
A few mistake early on allowed me to take a lead that I looked like throwing away at any minute. Luckily I managed to hold on for the win.

Was a lovely day for golf, Paddy got of to a great start, shooting 3 over for the first 6 holes.
So I had my work cut out to come back from a start like that, but it wasnt to be , congrats to Paddy.

Brian:
White Tees are for Members of a Club , Visitors use Yellow or Red Tees.
You will see notices to that effect or the Proshop should remind you.
As far as I know it is part of the Etiquette as well.
