All Burhill group courses are shut as of close of play tonight (23/03)

The rest are bound to follow suit. Look forward to seeing you all in around 3 months time (if we are very lucky).

There of course is a silver lining to this. With keeping everyone off the courses, the green keeping staff will be able to present most courses in absolute pristine condition when they reopen in two or three months (hopefully) time.

We shouldn't expect green staff to expose themselves... Even though they are often working alone.

Denmark recently announced a potential relaxation of lockdown restrictions. Apparently likely to allow a conditional return to the golf courses. One or two balls only, online bookings etc. OK so it won't be easy to get to Denmark but similar rules could be applied elsewhere. Best though to stay safe for a while...

Some great points added above. I think the governments intial thinking was to exclude sports such as equestrian, fishing & golf from the shut down.  However it appears it was the travel implications that finally sealed golfs fate.
Unless travel restrictions are to be lifted, we are well and truly suspended.
At some point, I think the state of the nations mental well-being will have to be considered?
At the moment we are are approaching the epicentre of this catastrophe, until we have peaked I think movement will stay restricted. Maybe in May the powers to be will start to be concerned as to social unrest (unmonst golfers) and its implecations? The countries financies will be putting pressure on a return to work by then anyhow.
None of us no how this is going to be played out.  I just hope we are all safe.
