If someone pulls out of an event at 2130hrs on the night before a game, is that a no show?

Note: Cancellations this late cannot be informed to the golf club so they may charge!!

Personally I only report people as a 'No Show' if they actually don't show (9:30pm on the night before would probably count!) and they don't have a resonable reason for dropping out (there are lots of genuine reasons - ill health, car problems, sudden emergency... but 'it was going to rain' isn't one of them unless all players agree).

As long as they let me know they cannot play then I wouldn't normally put them down as a 'No Show.'

If I knew there were other people who wanted to play but couldn't because the event was full, then they pulled out at the last minute, then I would put them down as a 'No Show.'

I once had it happen to me, where I had to pull out of my own event due to my daughter being ill!

She was bad the night before my event and didn't feel too well, certainly not well enough to go to school the next day, so I had to stay at home and look after her.
