Some advice please with the change to the slope system how do I work my society handicaps out as we do not have a home course for them to be assesed by.
Or do we just carry our current h/c to what ever course we are playing?

Just read the "novel" our club provided us with....it talks about how your handicap doesn't change as such....the course changes....
So if you play off 18 you still play off 18 but when you play a course rated "easier" you may be off 15 and harder maybe 20 for example....but it's relative....so for a society it makes no difference as everyone's would change the same...
So in short...just keep playing the way you are now....(perhaps not allowing a club handicap to be used versus the society handicap)....

Hi Roger, we intend to observe the WHS from a distance, and will see how it pans out for club members. Our own TSG system will stay as is, with no change immediately until weve seen all the courses rated (there is still 500+ to be done). Your club handicap if you have one will become an index that you will carry to other courses, inter club or other England Golf sanctioned events. I hope this answers your question.

Hi Gary, depending on your courses Handicap Index x (Slope rating) your handicap may well change. It is the players responsibility to check this.
You can look this up at World Handicap System R&A USGA
My own handicap is due to go up .7 from that date, which gives me back a shot.

But these don't have a club so what I mean is their handicaps don't change ...but you can adapt the handicap based on the course they play (or not bother as it would be relative across all players)
