With the advent of the WHA handicaps, some clubs are going to find their stroke indices have changed. To this end, the cards on TSG are sometimes going to be incorrect, so an update is required.

Basildon is one such and I have added that card and it shows as:

Basildon Golf Course @ 12/2020

Have done the YELLOW, will do the White and Red shortly....

Hi Judy,

I cannot see the slope rating on the RBH scorecard on TSG., or am I misreading your update.

On a general note, I personally  shall only post my scores on TSG once the slopes have been updated, there again I am not sure how TSG is coping with the World Hdcp Index itself.

Happy golfing Judy.

The signage that is being put up at all courses with handicap adjustments will include in the 'title area' the slope of the course. Saw Redbourns yesterday - 125

Just to let all know, not every course has been given a slope rating. As to the way slope effects your handicap, it makes no difference to TSG scoring at present and, I, believe that it is not being considered until mid 2021.

Also, slope is not going to affect your scoring as the majority of players here do not have English Golf handicaps, so should not be worrying about slope at present. So as has been since the inception of TSG, the handicapping is a seperate entity.

Thanks JB, I was beginning to ask myself what the relevance was to us all. Cheers for the explanation.

I have updated Milford with the new sss and slope rating.
Just to say you NEED to KNOW your exact handicap so you know WHAT you will play off at each club.
For example at Milford my club handicap is now 16.9, if i turned up here to play my playing handicap for the day would be 18.
I played at pine ridge yesterday, my playing handicap is 16.9 my handicap at pine ridge to play was 18.
So remember to check and KNOW YOUR EXACT HANDICAP.

Good point Paul, but that is not going to matter to TSG handicaps, as there will be no adjustment when entering your score, so we all have to play off of and enter our scores on those set in the system, as adjustment to your handicap was stopped for obvious reasons. But if you are entering these in as away games towards your EG handicap, yes you do need to know the exact handicap.

As John has said if your handing your card in for WHS you will need to change your handicap to suit your TSG Handicap for scoring on the existing TSG card software. The boss will announce how TSG are adapting to the WHS in the New Year, a lot of work is going on behind the scenes.

Note Those with a WHS Index need to be aware to check that their handicap index is right on the day..as it will change off different tees!

Thank you Paul for that information, just what I was waiting hear.

Cannot wait for the day when TSG is in line with the WHS, as I find very difficult to get my head round 2 different systems, ie how to put my scores on TSG.  Paul Smith gave a good example on his comments above.
