Will the handicap for "nomad" golfers enable those of us in that category to be eligible for a County Card? The discounts premium golf clubs offer to county card holders would make the fee for such a handicap far more appealing given the access it might potentially offer to more clubs.

I think many subjects will need to be addressed Patrick. The big one is will Nomadic golfers be allowed to partipate in club competitions? That will really cause a stir within golf club memberships!

I agree Paul, that would be somewhat unfair. Presumably it would be easy for clubs to regulate against that via their own internal rules

Last time I had a County Card it was on condition I had a membership at another course - my home course.
I would guess that the majority of clubs will insert a local rule stating that the only people playing in Club Competitions wil be Club Members.

Maybe Pattrick where the clubs membership is healthy, this can be addressed. But at my centre the pay and players far outweigh the club members and that will not change with this news. It's going to be an interesting Spring/Summer.
