So I understand there is now a World Handicap System (I have recently returned to playing golf!) , however there appears to be a different way of calculating a "course handicap" if you are playing in GB to that when you are playing in  the ROW  as well as the complication of the 113 and slope rating nonsense  ....how is this going to get more people playing golf?

Hi Andrew,

Intersesting and independent observation, which is why we have delayed any implemnetation of the new WHS system on TSG until 2022, while the powers that be sort out any discrepancies.

The only time you need worry about the handicap workings is if playing a matchplay game with someone from another club. Generally your handicap will be held on the system at your club (ie HowdidIdo) and will calculate for you.

If you are playing someone with WHS numbers, just use the EG app, enter the club you are playing at, check you allowance, then go check the board by the clubhouse/first tee.

As I said only gets a bit of a problem on Matchplay. (I'm sure Paul will put me right if wrong !)
